We are seeking a leader with exceptional leadership capabilities to join us as the General Manager (GM) to lead our well established, fully accredited 53 bed home in Norah Head. The home is supported by an experienced Care Manager, and well-resourced team. Your responsibilities will include attracting and cultivating a highly skilled workforce, fostering positive engagement among our esteemed care home team members, and steering the operational objectives and targets aligned with Aurrum Aged Care’s strategic plan.

The role will report to the Regional Manager - NSW, and will be responsible for:

  • ensuring the smooth day-to-day functioning of the home, overseeing the delivery of quality care services to residents, and maintaining compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
  • continual audit and review of all care home activities to ensure effective risk management and compliance standards are met.
  • active and timely management of resident complaints and incidents.
  • participating in the reaccreditation and compliance of the home.
  • reducing employee turnover, optimising retention of staff and employee engagement. 
  • management of finances and budgets (wage and non-wage expense). 

To be a successful candidate, you will have:

  • Proven leadership and operational capabilities within the Aged Care industry would be ideal (although not a must).
  • Knowledge of the National Safety & Quality and Aged Care Accreditation Quality Standards
  • Working knowledge of the principles of NSW sector acute and aged care funding principles
  • Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills 
  • Current driver's license, national police check and NDIS Screening
  • COVID-19 vaccination (minimum 3 doses)
