ABOUT THE ROLE

The role is critical to providing a safe and welcoming environment for residents, employees and visitors of the care homes. 

Reporting to the General Manager, the role actively supports the identification and actioning of preventative and corrective maintenance items and property service at the care home and grounds. The Maintenance Officer will act as a point of liaison for external contractors and suppliers for maintenance/ repair issues as well as for residents and their families during the admission process, and is responsible for ensuring that the care home is maintained to the highest standards.

In addition to assigned maintenance tasks, the Maintenance Officer will be responsible for ensuring that all maintenance documentation, logbooks and records are fully maintained and up to date.

WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU

  • Previous experience in a similar role
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Valid driver's license
  • Demonstrated success in an aged care or health care related setting would be advantageous
  • Valid National Police check (specific to work in aged care)
  • COVID-19 vaccination certificate
