About the Role

As a Care Assessment Consultant you will be responsible for optimising and managing clinical funding claims through monitoring of clinical assessment and claim submissions. You will be required to build strong relationships with management in your portfolio which consists of 8 care homes across New South Wales and Victoria.  

You may need to visit the care homes on a regular basis.

Responsibilities:

  • Review ACFI submitted claims
  • Advise care home managers of variances with time frames for completing identified actions
  • Mentor and coach senior care home teams in effectively managing ACFI 
  • Audit care home clinical assessments pertaining to ACFI, providing analysis on any areas of concern for improvement
  • Provide support to all care homes in developing and monitoring ACFI plans, claims and submissions
  • Provide education and support to care homes where expected ACFI revenue is a concern
  • Liaise with Medicare and follow up any issues in relation to ACFI funding 

About You

To be successful in the Care Assessment Consultant role with Aurrum, you will need to have:

  • Excellent computer literacy and time management skills (our care documentation is electronic)
  • Expert level of knowledge of the Aged Care Funding Instrument (ACFI)
  • Demonstrated success as a Care Assessment Consultant in a previous role
  • Advanced knowledge of the Australian Aged Care Accreditation Standards
  • Analytical, mentoring and coaching skills
  • Auditing experience and advanced clinical assessment skills
  • Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency
  • Experience in liaising with various stakeholders including General Managers, Regional managers and Directors
  • Valid National Police check (specific to work in aged care)
  • COVID-19 vaccination certificate
